QLD Infrastructure Plan

Ta daa… the  inaugural Queensland Infrastructure Plan (QIP)  a blueprint that will guide the state’s infrastructure priorities for the next two decades and beyond.

My often cringe is the imagery of these types of  documents.  Trucks, construction, the building of “stuff”, all about economic growth and the representation that infrastructure is rather big, imposing and plonked into our communities.   It seems to be sending the wrong message and vision about what aspirational infrastructure really could to be about (that is the serving of a community, good design, catalyst for change and liveability)

Gotta agree with your cringe, but I know enough about government to know that politicians tend to like large “things” that they can open. Sadly, smaller projects like bikeways and behaviour change programs tend not to be so exciting.
