Ideas Festival: McMansion to micromansion

Hutwheels is a project I’ve been helping out on, and excited that it is being “launched” at the upcoming Ideas Festival.  The Ideas Festival in 2006 had inspired and opened my world to Institute without Boundaries/Toronto, and for ages, I’ve been wanting to pay forward that ‘inspirations- karma-circle”.  I’m glad I could in this small way by making connections on this project.

Save the date (May 20, 9:30am) and ‘watch this space’ for more developments.

The concept of ‘bigger is better’ has been challenged by Malcolm Holz and collaborators Gabriel and Elizabeth Poole with the introduction of Hutwheels.  Malcolm brings to the Australian market a possible solution for affordable and sustainable living. In a landscape where space is at a premium and resources in demand, could this micromansion spark a rethink of the great Australian dream?
