Groove Train at King George Square

Poor King George Square has gotten some bad press for its design.  I have to say I don’t hate it as much as others do. In fact I always quite enjoy Games Nights there and that whole Groove Train area.  It was crap service when I was there last with Dave, but as an urban design space and activation I like it.

  1. I’m glad they’ve been planting more trees but all that reflective cement was poorly planned for the sunshine state. Walking across it in my lunch hour is like walking across a frying pan. Having to return to the office sweaty every afternoon is enough to make me dislike it immensly.
It is a good space or games night, suitcase markets etc but needs more shade and/or grass, hell even astro-turf if we’re in drought.
