Pedestrian bridges are cool.  Things underneath bridges are cool.  Bars under bridges are cool.  Bars that play Snoop are also cool.  Ponyfish Island is a great example of using of urban space.

The idea of QR Codes with public art and walking trails had recently come up, and I saw it in action in Melbourne with the Laneway Commissions.  The codes are captured by a smart phone that redirects you to more information and website.

Melbourne: Christmas Story

This Bible story was part of Christmas decorations, and even without reading it, it is in itself a striking and fascinating piece of texture and public art.  It seemed to be made from some kind of metal and was the height of a water feature.

It was great to be shown some of Footscray and Yarraville.  Yarraville has an especially nice “village” feel.
