At the intro of the RIBA screening of “My Playground”, the comparison between skaters and parkour-ers was made. It was mentioned how skating in Southbank evolved to be now accepted in the space. I got to see this for myself, and it didn’t feel especially designed as such but in itself created quite an interesting area and “show” for a passing audience.
