Vietnam: Minh Long

Getting back into ceramics and pottery is on my new years resolution list.  My dad’s family use to have a factory making pottery, so I kind of like that in some strange way it is in my blood.  I would have loved to have seen that place, if it had still been around.

I had loved the Gardiner Museum in Toronto dedicated to ceramics, and likewise loved my second visit to Minh Long porcelain store/centre.  Porcelain being incredible hard to work with compared to other clays I found in hand-building.  I especially liked the part where you watch them do stunning hand painting on ceramics.  Doing something at one of those “Paint-a-plate” places is also on my life to-do list.
